Paustian Mirror Mirror, designed by Maria Bruun, is a collection of mirrors with a steam bended solid frame in oak.
MIRROR MIRROR 90
Mirror Mirror 90, launched in 2014, is a series of angled mirrors, which nestle into corners, ceilings, edges and surfaces. Reflecting multiple aspects of the room, the beholder and the story, Mirror Mirror is a surprising element.
The angled mirrors vary in size and function. With its minimal mirror surface, the smallest of the mirrors provides a slightly distorted picture of reality. The medium and large angled mirrors have a larger actual mirror surface, reflecting both the beholder and the room from different angles.
Mirror Mirror 90 consists of a solid frame in natural oak with a “mirror” of high-gloss polished stainless steel. The back of the mirror is in oak veneer.
MIRROR MIRROR 180
In 2017 Mirror Mirror 180, a range of flat glass mirrors, was launched. With the three new glass mirrors, a circular mirror and to elongated – one full body – Paustian adds function and elegance to the Mirror Mirror series.
The three new mirrors have a simple, precise design, with the steam bent solid frame in oak still being the central element in the design.
DESIGNER MARIA BRUUN
Maria Bruun (born 1984) completed her MA in Furniture Design at the Royal Academy of Design in 2012. Fuelled by a passion for telling stories through materials, composition and design, she employs a minimalist approach, but the courage to be bold and surprising is ever present.
Maria Bruun considers it her responsibility as a designer to try to push the boundaries of what the concepts of design and functionality actually contain, most recently doing so with her award-winning Mirror Mirror range.
